Sterile Products

Locating pharmaceuticals in short supply can be a huge drain on you and your facility's staff time.

Managing drug product inventories has become particularly complex for healthcare facilities because of the large number of monotherapies and monoproducts available. Drug shortages can delay and compromise patient care and increase total cost, including those of choosing alternative therapies, delivery devices, and staff training. At Advanced Physician Solutions, Inc., we hope to keep you abreast of current problem medications, the reasons, and expected resolution dates, and hopefully, provide you with a limited supply of some of these medications by the way of us compounding the medications that are hard to find to hold you until your primary vendor is able to replenish their stock.

The "just-in-time" approach to procurement and inventory management among manufacturers, distributors, & end users has led to the reduced ability of the supply chain to provide adequate drug product availability during disruptions. Many end-user health care organizations have reduced inventories to the point that they depend on daily replenishment. Inventories no longer provide an adequate buffer, and a temporary backorder quickly becomes a critical drug shortage for the end-user. We hope to help you in this situation, so that you can get back to your job of providing healthcare to your patients.
